From paddock to plate – Fonterra’s new $140M cheese plant meets local foodservice demand.
Production of Australia’s favourite mozzarella brands, Perfect Italiano and Mainland, is now back in Australia which means Fonterra Foodservice’s mozzarella is now made closer than ever to its source ingredients.
Fonterra has invested $140M in a new manufacturing plant based in Stanhope, northern Victoria. The plant’s opening marks the return of Fonterra’s production to home soil after several years abroad.
The investment presents an opportunity for chefs and distributors to support a 100% end-to-end Australian-made cheese, along with our hard-working dairy farmers of northern Victoria. With our Australian grass to glass supply chain, we can ensure greater consistency and reliability in supply of these top-performing products.
With superior stretch, perfect melt and minimal oiling off, chefs come back to Perfect Italiano mozzarella time and time again – and with fresh new packs, it’s ready to use in kitchens around Australia. The new Perfect Italiano Traditional 5kg block offers improved freshness and greater efficiency through reduced handling. While Mainland mozzarella is known for its versatility, delivering the performance chefs know and trust.
