Countrywide Australasia Limited (‘Countrywide’) is committed to protecting your personal information and complying with the National Privacy Principles.

What personal information does Countrywide collect, and why?

The information that Countrywide collects about you depends on your interaction with us. If you are a Member, or apply to become a Member, we may collect personal information in the form of your name, address, phone/fax numbers and email address, primarily for the purpose of assessing your application, conducting business with you, communicating with you about our products and services, providing you promotional information, assisting you in developing relationships with Customers and Suppliers, and providing trade references upon request.

If you are one of our Suppliers, we may collect your contact details for the purpose of conducting business with you and assisting you in developing relationships with our Members.

If you are a Customer who has participated in one of our reward programs or marketing and sales promotions, we may use and disclose your personal information for the purpose of effecting delivery of the rewards under that program, or to conduct market research.

Generally, we will only collect personal information directly from you, or through our Members or Suppliers, and we will use this information only for the purposes outlined above.

Will Countrywide give your personal information to anyone else?

Countrywide does not sell, rent or trade personal information about you to or with any third parties. However, Countrywide may disclose personal information to other relevant entities for the purpose of carrying out the above activities. For example, our IT services are supported by outside companies in some situations. In addition, Countrywide may provide information about individuals to travel agents where those individuals are given overseas holidays as part of our reward programs, and information about Members may be disclosed to Suppliers in order to help build business relationships between them. In some cases, these travel agents and Suppliers may transfer that information to their related companies or relevant organisations overseas.

Countrywide takes all reasonable measures to ensure that your personal information is stored and secured safely.

If you wish to know the personal information we hold about you, please submit a request for access in writing to the contact details below. Usually, we will provide you with a photocopy or printout of the information requested. However, we may charge you a reasonable fee for providing you with copies of the information if complying with your request requires considerable time and expense on our part.
