Bibina Pty Ltd

Con Andreou came to Australia in 1950. He worked in numerous restaurants and cafes in Sydney. In 1952, Con married Louiza and worked on a banana plantation with their relatives. For some time they were concerned about the service and products they were receiving for their business. Con found that the products that he was purchasing were inadequate and inferior. Consequently, in 1981 the restaurant was sold and a wholesale warehouse was established in Hamilton, Newcastle. In 1981 Con and Louiza purchased a small warehouse in Hamilton and from then on the business grew.

The earthquake devastated Newcastle in 1989 and Bibina outgrew the premises in Hamilton. Due to an ever increasing business, larger premises were purchased in Warners Bay where expansion and growth were to continue.
In 1996 Con decided to take on the new and exciting range of Cadbury icecream. As the sole distributor in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region, Bibina was once again able to grow and become more diversified.

The business started with one truck, one forklift and six employees in 1981. In 1999 Bibina has ten trucks, four forklifts, thirty three employees, and numerous other vehicles. Con’s prediction for an expansion of the foodservice sector was a good one.

Bibina also has a warehouse designated especially for the public. It is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Saturdays 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Bibina caters for special occasions, bus tours and has hampers of all shapes and sizes for all occasions.
